"Arrrgh, I can't believe 'The Bill' has ended "/
The show was awesome. The cast are amazing, & I think the scenes in the last episode wit Simon Rouse were very touching, in fact the whole episode was cleverly done.
In addition to this, I also enjoyed the documentary that followed. It was a great opportunity to look back at some of the fab story-lines, special guests & old cast members.
It was enjoyable to see ex 'Bill' stars, Trudie Goodwin & Graham Cole back on set, a really shame Mark Wingett wasn't there with them.
I think its fair to say that 'The Bill' can not be replaced
so thank goodness for technology these days that makes it possible to watch old episodes of the bill :)

"Hi Andrew this is my message I sent to Peter Finchman please please concider saving the best programme called The Bill for me. I have watched it since It first started and I am one of the best Viewer's to watch it and it is one of the best On Going TV Drama and Has Been On The TV Screens For Over 25 Years with Burnside, Grathem Cole etc... I don't believe ITV saying not enough Viewers I just think you just want to change and take Programmes off to save money for the sake of it. You are already getting rid of Heartbeat so that leaves us with no Police Drama on ITV1 its ok forr BBC1 they still have their Programmes like Casualty and Holby. Also when The New Bill finishes will it continue elsewhere on the Channels and what is going to happern to yours and the other Current Casts jobs in The Bill.

Having been in the police myself, pity there are no story lines showing the support staff or the workings of them upstairs, or police authority! Mind you that would possibly bore folks to tears! I have to say it used to make us laugh sometimes and we would joke that we needed to watch the Bill to see what we should do next. Very sorry it has to end after a lifetime of good gutsy stories and the writers should be patted on the backs for them! "Dear Andrew, I have read ALL the Aubrey/Maturin Sea story novels written by Patrick O'Brien. seeing your work on "The Bill" convinces me that YOU should play the spy/ship-surgeon/naturalist/musician Steve Maturin.[For Jack Aubrey? - Phil Glennister of course!]. I was so disappointed with the film "Master and Commander" because they got the casting so wrong. Note that many of the wonderful plot lines of the books take place on land, so a good mini-series could be made without the expense of going to sea with a square-rigger all the time. I just wanted to say that i am very sorry that the bill will be finishing this year as i am sure all of the bill fans are. It was a bit of a shock to be honest as the bill has been great this year. It is odd as well as it was only the day before that i saw Alex Walkinshaw on this morning as he was talking about how populer the next episode would be, and it was very popular with my family! I don't know if you and the other cast members know but on facebook, there are thousands of pages set up to save the billl and they each have thousands of members in them. There is also a petition that is going round that will be sent to ITV which has over 3000 signatures including mine and everyone is urging eveyone to sign. I was just wandering if there is anything that can be done to help save the billl as this is all that the millions of fans including I want to do?? Also, i would like to say on behalf of everyone that we will always support the billl nomatter what and will do whatever we can wherever we can to help.

I saw one in HMV before Christmas but they were all of the old episodes!! Are there any others and if so where can i get them?? I was living down in Oxford when I saw you on TV the first time in Cardiac Arrest..and have followed your career since then..I have moved back home to the village and am living on Hesketh Lane not far from your old house..I remember coming to parties there but was your older brothers!My own children attend our old high school now which is quite strange as some of the teachers are the same.
Anyway..just wanted to say well done for pursuing a dream and cracking it!!..a village school like ours didnt exactly try to encourage "out of the ordinary" professions back in the 80's so well done you.I will keep watching how you are getting on.

I am a Burnley fan and was stood outside the away turnstiles before the Everton game with my godson at about 1.30. I saw a bloke who i thought i knew but then realised it was your good self!!
I should have said hello. I also support the mighty blue boys but for the first time in my life i had to go with my home team!!

"Alright Andrew. I am just wondering how you are apart from feeling a bit depressed supporting the Toffees lol! As you can guess i'm Red through and through! I worked with you on the set of "Go Back Out" with Anita Dobson. I was one of the three lads given the job of chasing you through the streets of Wavetree. In fact I don't know if you remember but whilst filming me trying to grab hold of you I accidently poked you in the eye which put filming the scene back a bit due to your "bloodshot eye"! I was hoping it would have been shown again on T.V but don't think there is much hope of that now. Its good to see your family life is good to especially with the little one. My girlfriend miscarried after 21 and 22 weeks at end of March 08 with twin girls Olivia & Emma which was tragic but i'm sure we will start our own family soon enough. Anyhow i'm glad i found the website which is informative and I hope everything goes well in the future. Hope to get a reply from you via my email supplied if thats possible and good luck.
